Feet aching after a long week? Today is the day to kick off your shoes. It's National Go Barefoot Day! Embrace the beginning of the summer season and join people across the country in this shoe-free celebration.
National Go Barefoot Day was launched by a non-profit organization called Soles4Souls. The real purpose behind this quirky holiday is to encourage people to donate new and used shoes to the victims of natural disasters. Take a moment to do a little spring cleaning and give away the shoes you no longer need. You can even organize a shoe drive in your community.
